We normally don't board horses unless they are here to be trained, and
the board is included in the monthly training fee.
If they are only here for a week to tune them up, we charge $20 per day. Monthly training rate is
$500. This includes feed, stall cleaning, water. Grain is extra $1 per
day.
In our contract, if a horse gets
injured while in training, we will call the owner and tell them the
horse needs vet care. The owners are responsible for the bill.
A horse must be shod before coming into training. If not we charge an extra
$60 dollars to have them shod by our farrier, Mark Rentchler.
We have
breeding contracts,
training contracts and
liability contracts for
people to sign. We don't have any special fees for special training, because I
primarily just start colts.
We don't finish a horse unless an
owner wants that specifically. To finish a horse would require a
separate contract.
For prospective owners to stay out at the ranch for a week,
and ride the horses they are interested in, the charge is $1,000
per
person. This includes meals, (buffalo meat), room and board, and clinic lessons,
one on one with the trainer. If the prospective owner purchases a horse, this
charge will be reduced to $500 per
person.
Also we offer four-wheeling rides to the canyon,
skiing
trips to Red Lodge, or fishing trips on the Clarks Fork River.
